Summer Skills & Drills Session: June 18-July 16 - Registration Opens April 6th

Synergy’s Columbia’s top recreational volleyball program is designed to introduce and teach the fundamentals of the game to girls entering the 3rd grade all the way through High School. Our program begins with the VolleyLites (3rd – 5th Grade), then moves to the Intermediate (6th – 7th Grade), and finishes with the Advanced Rec (8th – 9th Grade).

Grades: 3rd through 5th grade
Our Elementary League is designed to introduce Volleyball at a younger age in order to develop the overall athlete at an earlier age. This league will focus on the fundamentals and proper techniques needed to advance those skills during each practice and game. Our VolleyLite program will teach the girls proper court posture, footwork, serving, passing, and setting. The girls use a lighter ball and play on a lower net.

Grades 6th and 7th
Synergy’s Intermediate group takes practices and skills to the next level. We focus on repetition of the fundamental skills as well as court positions and movement. Players will be introduced to overhand serving, passing (forearm underhand passing), setting (overhead passing), attack options (hitting/spiking), blocking (from attack and defend positions) and defensive skills (rolling and sliding). This group is designed to help players that are considering playing for their school or club teams in the future.

Advanced Rec

Grades: 8th and 9th
The Advanced Rec group simulates game situations and gives players the opportunity to take their game to the next level. They continue to work on their skills on the court while focusing on accuracy, movement and game play. At Synergy our goal for this group is to develop the whole player and to keep them playing in between their school and club seasons.
